‘Thunder’ will fall on Israel if it attacks: Iran leader

PNA-Any attack by Israel on Iran will blow back on the Jewish state “like thunder,” Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said on Sunday.

Khamenei also said that the international community’s suspicion that Iran was seeking nuclear weapons is based on a “lie.”

If the Israelis “make any misstep or wrong action, it will fall on their heads like thunder,” Khamenei said in a speech marking the 1989 death of his predecessor and founder of Iran's Islamic republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

Allegations that Iran was trying to develop atomic bombs were false, he also said.

“International political circles and media talk about the danger of a nuclear Iran, that a nuclear Iran is dangerous. I say that they lie. They are deceiving,” Khamenei said.

“What they are afraid of -- and should be afraid of -- is not a nuclear but an Islamic Iran.”

He added: “They invoke the term ‘nuclear weapons’ based on a lie. They magnify and highlight the issue in their propaganda based on a lie. Their goal is to divert minds and public opinion from the (economic) events that are happening in the U.S. and Europe.”

‘Idiotic…what Westerners do’

Khamenei also accused the United States and its allies of talking about the threat of a nuclear Iran to cover up their own problems, state television reported.

“What Americans and Westerners do is idiotic. They magnify the nuclear issue to cover up their own problems,” Khamenei added.

“Iran’s nuclear issue has been put at the top of world developments and they are deceitfully using the term nuclear weapons ... to divert attention from the problems inside America and Europe.”

Meanwhile, Iran has also criticized and warned the West on Saturday.

Iranian military commander, Brigadier-General Yahya Rahim Safav, was reported by Press TV as saying that U.S. bases in the region were vulnerable to the Islamic Republic’s missiles.

His commenters were an apparent response to U.S. officials who have said Washington was ready to use military force to stop what it suspects is Iran’s goal to develop a nuclear weapons capability.

Thats what they all say Iran tbh is no different than Syria, it still lacks technology to deal with the west's military. It may have a large military, but fairly ill equiped compared to Israel or the US. Though Israel won't attack without the US's support I think.

No different from syria?! Iran can prepare millions of young boys and men in case if war and they already have about 1 million of soldiers active. If we include the Basiji and all other. Anyway, they are no match 1vs 1. Just look during E.K war against iran, more than 50 000 of these Basiji's was sent to hell. However it's their numbers . Didn't Iran send boys as human shields against iraq? It may be behind in technology and Iran isn't afraid to show what they got to the world. However iran have thousands of misiles, thousands of anti aircrafts weapons, Israel's air force is very well equiped but it isn't big enough to win the air space or to take out their main targets, Iran knows this. For that reason they won't attack Iran without US's support.
