Goodbye F16

PostAuthor: Londoner » Wed Aug 08, 2012 4:02 am

We all heard about Prime Minister Noory Malikey to buy USA F16 fighter planes and we also heard about him telling army officers to take on Kurds when F16s arrive. Now the contract is cancelled. Because USA doesn't want any one Shiite to be trained on F16.

This proves that Iraq is an failed state based on sectarianism. Iraq should have been splitted to 3 countries but the neighbouring countries wanted to keep their own colonial borders. When one group comes to power no matter what party or ideology at the end of the day they will put their tribe/sect in position of power and oppress the rest. This time its the shia who want to control the whole state.

I thought the same thing. I knew USA would never let these high tech fighter planes would go to Iranian allies.

And what does this tell us, "If we Shias are not allowed to so we dont need to buy some". His reaction shows obviously that Malikis army is working for Malikis interests and not for Iraq.

Well, according to the news, all pilots nominated to send to USA to get trained on F16, were Kurds, mostly, and some other sunnies. When Malikey investigated as why they don't include Shiites. He was told USA didn't want to train Shiite pilots. After this, he ordered to cancel the contract. Obviously that was his nightmare. He wanted to use F16s against Kurds, now he discovered they would go to Kurds and could be used against him. :))

 so much for their wishes to attack Kurdistan , this is why they rushed to Russia to buy SU35s but Potin wants to see Barzani in nov I think it's pretty much for the same reason which is , if milky gets jets will they be used against KRG so is Russia going to accept such responsibility ! I beg to differ, since we have Russia's supermajor oil company that bought 2 oil blOcks and not to mention USA will disallow any one disturb Exxon and Chevron deals.

Hehe it's very funny to read your comments guys. First of all, none of the American medias have written about this, so i really don't think that the f16's are getting cancelled, because Iraq have payed for some of them ( correct me if I'm wrong). Secondly do you really think that the Iraqi government want to solve their problems with the Kurds by using military power? I mean come on sometimes we have to be realistic, guys. At the moment the Iraqi military is very weak, and both parts have nothing to gain in this. So seen from a political view they wouldn't do it, this isn't the former regime run by Saddam Hussein. You guys seem to be very paranoids :D

Iraq is acting as a province of Iran and Iran has been now barking at Kurdistan alot lately, and milky is a Shia saddam otherwise he would have solved the so called Kurdish disputed areas, btw we know Iraq is avoiding referendum but we are ready to go to war for them if you want to steal our lands then you will be torn to pieces.

Why don't you people focus on building your roads and shithole cities instead of wanking and drooling over heavy weapons which I see as quite pathetic from your side.

Iraq is not seeing its giant budget of $100 billion and ya all cry over the 12% Kurdistan gets from kirkuk's oil fields.. Just remember Kirkuk is a majority Kurdish city and it's oil fields belong to kirkuk's not Iraqi gov thief which has been stealing our oil from Kirkuk since 1921 , enuff is enuff we will put an end to your crap and for all when time is right.

We will sever Kurdish towns and cities from all the so called iraqi privinces and milky can shove the referendum up his back side.

Seriously i don't understand when people are comparing Malikey with Saddam? What's wrong with you? When Malikey is going to do a massacre or killing people then it's for obvious reasons that you call him a dictator compared with Saddam but if he doesn't then why all this hatred? it's not going to solve any problems. Secondly, a war wouldn't solve any of these problems, both sides will lose. Both kurdistan and Iraq have been war in a long time we should learn from our past instead of ignoring it. We should focus on our economy and other things than war. The so called ''Kurdish disputed area'' are a very complicated issue to solve. Both parts claim that they are theirs and there are alot of oil in those areas which make it more difficult to ''give away''.

Iraq isn't a province in Iran. They just have a strong relationship since Saudi Arabia aren't glad for the fact that Shia is in power in Iraq. If you are following the news then you would have noticed that Iraq is trying to have a good relationship with every country.

Of course not for obvious reason. The new government isn't dictatorial, though it's not an ideal democracy either. We live in an globalized world with an international society which will intervene if the ''arabs'' used their f16 on the kurd's. When Saddam did it the media didn't cover it, because it was owned by the regime. The president of Iraq is a Kurd, some of the parliament members are Kurdish and the Iraqi army has also a Kurdish general called Babaker Shawkat B. Zebari...

We wish you are right!!! I am afraid Malikey, the prime Minsiter, has a different idea and will use force if he can get away with it. On 2008 he did it in Khaneqin but he failed and got a broken nose. He has already reappointed all former Saddam Army officers against debaathfication laws. He has also contacted former jashes. In a meeting some former high ranking former Saddam Hussein officers asked Malikey permission to take on Kurds. He told them to waint until F16s arrive.
