I don't know about you guys, but I will always cheer for iraq football team, unless it's against Kurdistan. I hope they make the WC, it would be a great accomplishment.

Talsor, it's not about money. Middle east countries just don't have the system and no one cares about academies. In Europe they start at age 5, so they get plenty of training even at a young age. Look at all the Kurds,Turks and arabs that make it to big europena clubs, they would never be that good in their own countries.

I understand kurdistani1, if you had to choose between iran and iraq what team would you cheer for? The team with kurdish players and the are kurdish footboll players in iraq right? Like Hawar but are there any more kurdish players? Even if these kurds don't play for kurdistan which i'm sure they would have liked to, they are still kurds.

Actually, Hawar is not playing anymore with iraqi team because he wasn't called upon since the last 8 months. Now they have called a talented player(Osama Rashid) which is very disappointing that he chose iraq to play with rather than Netherlands!

I have a question. What will happen when Kurdistan gets independent. Is he forced to play for Iraq or because of the new situation that a "new" country pops up is he allowed to choose to play for Kurdistan?

First of all I thought it was more than Hawar in the iraqi national team but I was wrong and now you have proven for me that there is a kurd in turkeys national team because Cihan Haspolatli doesn't play more, he have just played 3 friendly matches according to wiki. But in iran's national team there isn't a kurd, there has been many before but not now. My cousin said that is a kurd in iran national team but I am not sure about that and I don't remember his name.

A few players were playing for Soviet Union before, but when their countries split up such as, Ukraine, Belarus etc. Their players also split from Soviet Union and played for their countries. But im not sure right now, because FIFA rules change regularly. For instance, now if a player plays under 21 or 19 or 18 for a country, he can still choose to play for another national team. But if he plays once with the Official National Team, then his record will be set and he will not be able to choose another country.

in norway,most of the foregineers are better fotball players than the locals. (with foregineers,i mean kurds,persians,africans,Americans,afghans,arabs (ive only seen egyptian and palestinian arabs play,and they were pretty good)).
