Thoughts of the day every day in 2013

This is where you can talk about every subject (previously it was called shout room)

Where my income tax money goes

PostAuthor: Anthea » Thu Jan 31, 2013 11:41 pm

31 January

Taxes: We all pay them

Governments have NO money of their own. They have money from taxes and other charges taken from the general public, as in YOU and ME, the population of each country.

I wish to be given a choice :D MY money MY choice :D

DO NOT spend my hard earned money on weapons and killing people X(
I DO NOT want to kill anyone X(

DO spend my hard earned money on improving the health service and providing more doctors :D
I DO want to see a doctor if I am ill :D

MY IDEA

Street collections: People standing in streets with collecting tins. One tin for more doctors. One tin for more weapons. :ymparty:

1 February

HAPPY FEBRUARY EVERYONE :ymhug:

I believe that we should celebrate the start of each new month not just each new year. Perhaps we should all pledge to make a change in our lives. I will eat less chocolate this month. Got to lose weight to make room for all those chocolate Easter Eggs in 2 months time :ymdevil:

Is anyone intending to do anything exciting this month?

I intend to set up a Kurdish forum, NOT an internet forum, but a type of workshop, where we will be able to discuss Kurds and the events that affect them. I hope that we will be able to invite MPs and such to meet with us :D

I have, as always, a lot of views on Kurdish independence and as I have already written at length on the subject I will refer you to comments I made on another topic. I would appreciate your comments:

Do Kurds living in/coming from NK want INDEPENDENCE?

Religion. Always a subject of conflict. I will make my views easy to understand.

All human beings should have the right to live in peace and make his/her own decisions. No child should ever be indoctrinated into any religion.

When a child reaches an age where he/she can make an informed decision then that child should be free to choose :ymhug:

Most wars are either caused by greed or religion. Fighting between, Muslims, Christians and Jews has always seemed rather pointless to me, because they all worship the same GOD

I am NOT anti-Islamic, I am anti-idiots who claims to be fighting in the name of God when the person he is fighting worships the same God :ymdevil:

Story Time :D

Once upon a time (all fairy stories start with "Once Upon a Time") there was a jolly chap named Idris, and Idris had a lovely farm.

On that farm he had goats, BLEAT went the goats :D
On that farm he had sheep, BAAH went the sheep :D
On that farm he had cows, MOO went the cows :D

Idris had lived on his farm ALL his life :D
Idris's daddy had lived on their farm ALL his life :D
Idris's daddy's daddy and all the daddys before them had lived on their farm ALL their lives :D
People in the town laughed at Idris because his family had been there so VERY VERY VERY long, saying his family must have landed there out of Noah's Ark :D

Idris's town was a lovely friendly town EVERYBODY knew EVERYBODY and EVERYBODY was friendly :ymhug:

There was an evil ogre (all fairy stories have evil ogres) named Sad X(

Sad was a VERY VERY greedy ogre X(
Sad wanted the town, and all the businesses, farms and land X(
Sad commanded all his EVIL demons to chase Idris and his happy friends out of the town X(
The demons chased them FAR FAR FAR away X(
And for every 10 people chased away they caught 1 hostage to stop the people going back to their town X(
The nasty ogre Sad ate all the hostages up and nobody ever heard of them ever again X(

Sad was so happy because he knew that there was lots and lots of lovely OIL all around the town :-?
So to celebrate his evil deed, he opened his pot of gold (all ogres have pots of gold) and gave lots of evil demons money and said that they should live in the town and it was his present to them X(

One day a good fairy (all fairy stories have a good fairy) came along, and waved her magic wand (missiles) and the nasty ogre was gone :ymparty:

But the good fairy was getting forgetful in her old age and forgot to wave her wand at the evil demons in that town X(
So the evil demons stayed in Kerkuk X(

4 February (part 2)

Today Anthea scored 61,800 playing Mahjong :ymparty:

Sadly I need 63,000 at least X( But I will NEVER give up ;)

Try as I may I just could not manage to get a higher score. I cannot not seem to go any faster :((

This is no longer a fun game, this is a battle of wits between Piling and myself. Sometimes she wins and sometimes I win. The overall winner will be the last person alive =))

My hand hurts, my shoulder hurts and I spend HOURS sitting playing this so-called game 8-}

Where are all the MEN ?

Dyaoko you should join us :D

Invest in quality Kurdish film making geared towards an international audience.

Thank you HZKurd for your suggestion, it started me thinking about different things that could be done :-?

What else could Kurds produce that might become well known, perhaps even a toy :D

What are traditional Kurdish toys?

Am I the only person who thinks that it is extremely strange Ocalan's lawyers keep being refused permission to visit him ?

I think that something is VERY VERY wrong.

The only people who have been close to Ocalan since his imprisonment have been his lawyers. The only people who would really know if that is the real Ocalan or a substitute put there would be his lawyers. Even Winston Churchill used doubles.

The only people close enough to him to know whether what he says are things that Ocalan would normally say are his lawyers. The only people who would know if Ocalan has been brainwashed or is under some form of coercion are his lawyers.

I personally believe that something is seriously WRONG

Armenian Genocide

PostAuthor: Anthea » Wed Feb 06, 2013 11:27 pm

Thanks to Cewlik for the post:

Apoist Apologizes for the Armenian Genocide

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11774

I hope that people forgive me but my knowledge is not very good so PLEASE correct me when I make mistakes :ymblushing:

The Armenian Genocide

Did Kurds have a choice as to whether or not to join the Ottoman army NO

Do Kurds have a choice as to whether or not to join the Turkish army NO

I am sure that I remember reading something about the Armenians supporting the revolution against the Ottoman Empire and that was the main reason they were crushed :-?

I do NOT understand WHY Kurds would consider apologising. Perhaps someone could explain it to me :-?

Heval Anthea, Kurds were not forced to join the Ottoman military, they were leaders and the best cavalry forces. And I do not know much about the Armenian issue, but I'm sure they were not all innocent. And Hasakah in Kurdish its Hesice, is part of Kurdistan, but the Syrian Baath regime has been trying to Arabize for a while now, so its population is mixed but still majority Kurds.

HZKurd thank you for that :D

Kurds are probably one of the most wronged people in the history of mankind and I do NOT think that Kurds have anything to apologise to anyone for.

I am English and throughout history probably nobody killed more people than the English did when they were establishing the Great British Empire.

If I stood up and said that I apologise to the world on behalf of all the English people for what our grandparents and great grand parents did I would taken away by doctors and locked up in a padded cell =))

I believe Ahmet Türk must be suffering from delusions of grandeur as he sees himself as representing the entire Kurdish nation.

Delusions of grandeur is principally a subtype of delusional disorder that occurs in patients suffering from a wide range of mental illnesses, including two-thirds of patients in manic state of bipolar disorder, half of those with schizophrenia and a substantial portion of those with substance abuse disorders. Delusions of grandeurs are characterized by fantastical beliefs that one is famous, omnipotent, wealthy, or otherwise very powerful.

Who would care to apologise on behalf of the entire Kurdish nation for:

Costing Turkey a fortune in bullets and bombs that they have used to kill Kurds. Please continue to take all Kurdish oil and other minerals to make up for the loss. If you take everything you will be able to buy bigger weapons and kill more Kurds

Costing Iraq vast amounts of money to clear up all the dead bodies carelessly left laying around after the Halabaja chemical attack

At least Kurds do not have to pay Turkey for clearing up all the dead bodies after the Dersim massacre. Turkey saved a fortune in bullets and there was not much to clean up due to the fact that most people were burnt alive

As a non-Kurd, I have not spent years of listening to what is probably very limited and often misinformation about Kurdish history. I have learnt a lot from my Kurdish students, my many Kurdish friends, internet sites, this forum and Kurdish freedom fighters and Ocalan's books :D

I have seen grown men cry as they told me, through interpretors, about how there families were murdered and villages destroyed. The story has been the same for Kurds in all regions. I have met many Kurds who have had loved ones killed and others who will spend the rest of their lives wondering exactly what happened to them (the not knowing is probably the saddest of all).

I know of many terrible things that destroy a person's very soul including: several Kurds from EK who have pretended to become Christian so that they could remain in England. A young man from SK who had 15 of his immediate family murdered, parents, brothers and sisters. A man from SK whose village was under siege and most of the people died from hunger, thirst and disease.

I have met people who fight for a FREE Kurdistan and have heard their stories. I know about all the treatise used to suppress Kurds and divide traditional Kurdish land:

Image

In all that I have learnt I have found NOTHING that Kurds need to apologise for X(

7 February (part 2)

Seems that I have upset people because among other things I wrote the following:
I believe Ahmet Türk must be suffering from delusions of grandeur as he sees himself as representing the entire Kurdish nation.

I stand by what I wrote. Ahmet Türk is a lovely old man and one of the most highly respected Kurdish political figures. He is also one of the most highly protected. I do not have a problem with him and feel sorry for him. Perhaps in his mind he still imagines that he has the same political clout he once had, but he does not and nor does he represent the entire Kurdish nation.

I have questioned as to whether or not Kurds seriously want to be free from Turkey. Please refer to my thoughts of 13 & 14 January and many other thoughts and comments I have made.

Clearly the BDP have an entirely different agenda than that of the freedom fighters who are willing to die to defend the safety and liberty of the Kurdish people. Why would Kurds support a party that has betrayed the freedom fighters by agreeing to settle for a few crumbs from Turkey rather than the Independence so many Kurds have lost their lives fighting for.

Thank you Piling for reminding us that it is Chinese New Year tomorrow :D

I will immerse myself in Chinese culture for the day. Chinese incense, Chinese food (never found any Chinese chocolate), Chinese music, lots of Jackie Chan and Jet Lee DVDs. And of course I will be playing Mah-jong, just for a special treat, on account of it being Chinese New Year :ymhug:
