Yesterday, read until midnight the end of House of Echoes. I love creepy horror story.

Have to cook another brunch of the Wall (Feast Of ice And Fire) :

Applecakes & blood sausages :

Cakes :

1/2 cup of unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups of flour special cake (with baking powder inside)
1 cup sour cream (we have not in France, but crème fleurette is quite the same)
4 apples (cut in small dices).

Topping :

3/4 cup brown sugar (cassonade)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (pecan nuts in my case)

Preheat the oven at 350º F (don't know how it is for celsius. No matter, my old oven has only one way to cook : max.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add the flour, alternating with cream, and mixing well after each addition. Stir in the apples. Scrape the batter into the prepared muffin pan, filling each cup two-third full.

For the topping, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in the butter crumbly, then stir in the nuts. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the batter-filled cups, pressing gently to mix it with the cake. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Allow to cool.

Eat with fried blood sausage.

Pics will come soon.

The apple cakes look good but I do not like the thought of eating blood sausages, are they like English black pudding :?

Exactly. :-D We put often apples in blood sausages, so the taste will be ok for vampires like me.

My cat is terribly spoilt and tyrannical : a normal cat, then.

It depends at first in which place of Kurdistan you would like to stay : so you have to choice between Kurmancî or Soranî dialect.

Which do you find easiest and which will be of most use to me in Kurdistan?

Remember when I go there I will not be coming back to England :D

Southern Kurdistan, of course. But within KRK there are 3 provinces : Duhok is a Kurmancî/Behdinî speakers' area, Erbil and Suleymanieh are Soranî's.

So you have to decide which place you like the more :D

Yeah that is Jon. But my favorite is Tyrion Lannister.

Though the handsomest is his brother, Jaime Lannister :
