I have just watched Mongol on youtube - very enjoyable - apart from the fighting - has English sub-titles - has French sub-titles - even has Turkish sub-titles - sadly no Kurmanci or Sorani

I have spent 2 hours yesterday to talk with a charming Turkish student, fond of Kurdish rights. He might decide to learn kurmancî :D .

I am a good propagandist… :ymdevil:

Good idea ! Kurmancî is not hard to learn and there are many English methods for learning it. With the newcomer Jon so you'll be 2 students who could find help there. :ymapplause:

put 2 cups of dried split peas in a large pot, and add 6 cups of water. Turn the heat up to medium high. Adds 1 sprig of fresh parsley, of sprig of fresh thym, 1 sprig of fresh mint, and 12 pearl onions, pealed and left whole. Parboil the herbs for about 3 mn and the onions for 5 to 10 mn, until they are soft. Using a slotted spoon, remove the herbs and onions from the pot and set the onions aside. Press the herbs dry and chop them finely. Cook the peas for about 30 to 40 mn longer or until they are soft. Drain the peas.

Place the cooked peas in a small saucepan and add the onions, chopped herbs, 1/2 teaspoon saffron, 2 tablespoon olive oil, and salt/ Cook over medium heat for 5 mn, stirring constantly to prevent sitcking.
Place the porridge in a serving dish and sprinkle a pinch of saffron and poudre douce on top for color and flavor.

poudre douce :

4 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ground ginger, pinch of nutmeg, pinch of galanga, 1 cup sugar.

Looks just right for this weather :D

Expect it is lovely and warm in Kurdistan - perhaps we could organise some cultural exchanges whereby Kurds could come here and enjoy the delights of our rain - we could go there and suffer their sunshine :ymdevil:

Very funny and weird, as if David Lynch has decided to make a comedy.

Lol, you actually believe in that stuff? My sun is aries, moon is leo and my ascendant is sagittarius, which should make me a impulsive, obnoxious, vain, angry, philospher or some crap. My mother believes in astrology for some reason, what is your sun, moon and ascendant?
